well we made it back alive

from awana camp. it was an amazing week. for the first time, amy went with me. i had been coming home for 4 years talking about all these amazing people that i kept meeting and she would be like "i don't know what you are talking about". for her to finally meet these amazing people, and get to spend time with them was a blessing. i'm so glad she came. i had to adjust my game from doing and going where i wanted to remembering that she was there, but it was awesome to have her ministering beside me. she got to meet and stay with the foreman's, some of God's most awesome people. she got to meet the rechnitzers, and we got to spend a whole week with Buddy, who God blessed with some incredible messages during the week. martin's messages were good too. i have to say that God took me out of the way and provided us with some incredible music experiences. it's amazing to hear 250+ kids and adults sing back to you every night.
pray for us, as we are praying about some decisions the Lord would have us to make. i don't want to trade security for obedience. we can be secure and completely miss God. i've been there. don't want to go there again. pray that we would be completely obedient, even if it's to do the thing i don't want. ask that God would make things very clear to us in our journey. pray that God would give amy and i a oneness about decisions we have to make. pray for our prayer life together. pray for us some awesome time in the word. have a great day. God bless

i'm super jazzed about...

this. i took kenedy to see episode III yesterday, and this was one of the previews. i can't wait til December 9th. I hope they put these out a lot faster than the star wars or lord of the rings series. i read all of the books in 4th grade in about 7 or 8 weeks. it resolves me to read the books to my girls. i love, love, love c.s. lewis. so much that at one time i thought about writing a play about his life. so anticipate with me the chronicles.

ok i'll blog

i'm really caught up in myspace, but i'll throw anyone who reads this a bone.

i got to dress up like darth vader for this cheesy video that we made for church. got to would be a nice way to put it. the vader suit was made for someone who was 5' 11" with a 34 inch waist. there were these leg closures on the suit that wouldn't close and the waist wouldn't close either. luckily, there were suspenders, and the jacket had elastic. the sleeves came up to my elbows, but the gloves covered that. oh yeah, and the suit was called "dark invader" because there are "17 discernable differences" on it. there were 2 capes and they both weighed like 10 pounds. the helmet was plastic, and being as i don't have any hair, i sweat rather profusely. we could have gotten the actual suit with the voice changer, and the light up panels, but it was $250 and i think that would have been wasteful. so in honor of that kenedy and i are going to see episode III today. since i haven't seen all of episode II, i'll be completely lost.

so i spent about 10 hours on this sermon with the video, and the clips that eddie and i gleaned from star wars as sermon points, and we get to church on sunday morning and the school was locked. we didn't get in until almost 9:00, but we got it all set up and people really liked it.

so i go to awana camp next week. pray that kids will be blessed by the ministry. i love going there. it is my vacation.

have a great day
