i'm sitting at starbucks...

on broadway and 80th street in manhattan. i highly recommend staying in manhattan if you come to NY.
two things i have noticed about NYC.
1. manhattan is an island, and everything has to be delivered to it daily. the sheer amount of food and products that it takes to support 4 million in population, and another 1 million in tourists is staggering.
2. almost everyone in manhattan has an ipod. it's kindof odd. noone talks to anyone else unless they are not from the city.

do you recognize this building. it's the actual facade used for the diner in sienfeld. i've walked around the city for 3 days now, and it's amazing how many "kramer" t-shirts i've seen. on people, in the stores. i guess he's just pretty new york.

i was going to see a broadway show last night
but they were all like $60, not really the kind of money i want to spend, so i spent some time walking around times square. i almost got tix to the david letterman show, but my conference is going on, and i couldn't get there to pick them up. this conference is amazing. erwin signed my copy of "barbarian way" and he wrote "risk everything" WOW!!
this is erwin. he is much better in person. mosaic brought 40 people to new york with them. everyone i have talked to is genuine, and they love Jesus. erwin said yesterday that he didn't believe in hell. he believed in Jesus. he knows that hell exists, he just doesn't believe in it. that is a pretty cool statement. i have so many things in my conference notes that i can't begin to type all of the cool things that i have learned. a lot of people think because erwin has a mystical faith that he is a heretic. i've heard him talk about nothing but scripture this week. he just says that the Jesus of 1950's america isn't relevant today. in other words. Jesus hasn't changed, but the way we approach him needs to.

be blessed today. i'll be back in tx tomorrow.

That is a cool comment - for a room full of Christians, but in terms of evangelism I can see how it could be misinterpreted and/or confuse people. I'm glad you had such a great time in NYC. I hope you stopped off in Rockefeller Plaza to see the Christmas tree, people ice skating, and enjoy a cup of joe from Dean & Delucca. Have a good trip home!
